Excavators with extended attachments are designed specifically for doing works requiring an increased operating range that the machines equipped with standard working equipment can not perform. Extended attachments give a huge cutting radius of the soil.

The efficiency of an excavator with such equipment is exceptionally increased in standard and special working conditions when a large digging radius is required. This equipment is indispensable for such operations as cleaning of rivers (channels), water bodies, ponds and coastal zone, slope planning and suitable for working in gravel and sand pits.

With an increase in the operational area, digging force inevitably decreases, tipping point increases, so the volume and weight of the buckets to be mounted are about 2 times smaller than the standard ones, and additionally, a counter load for the excavator is required. The designs of extended booms and dipper sticks are developed specifically to ensure maximum performance and durability in the recommended operating conditions of the machinery.
